While on his second deployment, Marine Corporal Daniel Peterson was left a
Double Amputee after an explosion took both his legs in Afghanistan on July
24th, 2010. Cpl Peterson has moved to Houston where "Homes for Our Troops" built
him a specialized house to live and rehabilitate in. Teaming up, the Cub Scouts
of "Tiger Den 12" and "Rolling Thunder TX2" raised over $20,000 to furnish it.
Northwest Dodge General Manager Jim Hatfield, his employees, vendors and
volunteers added $6,500 from a fundraising event and raffle held at the
Dealership.
It was a great event capped off by a convoy to Cpl Peterson's new home where
flag raising ceremony took place.
